A cosmetic night cream for thick, hard toenails (onychauxis and thickened, dystrophic nails). It softens the built-up nail plate so the patient or a caregiver can trim it with ordinary clippers. It is not a drug and does not treat infection.
Urea 40%, salicylic acid 0.5%, tea tree oil, vitamin E, shea butter, aloe vera.
| Application | A small dab on each thickened nail with the supplied spatula, at bedtime. Socks on. Kept on the nail, off the surrounding skin; any excess wiped off. |
| Frequency | Nightly for about 90 nights to soften; then 2–3 nights a week to keep the nail trimmable. |
| Trimming | Once the nail cuts without force, usually after 2–4 weeks. No blade is needed before then. |
| Not for | Broken, ulcerated, red or infected skin. Pause if the skin stings or reddens. |
